Telehealth
Is it right for me?
There are certainly pros and cons to virtual mental health. While it does provide an extremely flexible and convenient option for accessing support, it doesn't get you out of the house. As with all technology, it comes with the possibility of tech. failure like power outages, crappy service and general technical difficulties.

However, there is something to be said for crying in the comfort of your own home. I hold primarily evening hours and virtual appointments because I understand that busy adults are most frequently unavailable during traditional working hours.
Financial Questions
Insurance: Currently, I accept a handful of major insurance companies. If I don't accept your insurance I can give you a superbill to be reimbursed as an out of network provider.

I also accept cash pay clients (those who do not have insurance).

Sliding Scale: I have a limited amount of sliding scale spaces available. Please inquire to see if there is availability.

Paying for Sessions: Upon submitting your intake paperwork (HIPAA documents, mandatory disclosures etc.) you will be asked to fill out a form to put a card on file to pay for the cost of sessions.

No Show/Late Cancel: Appointments that are canceled within 24 hours of the appointment or "ghosted" will still be charged. Please just send me a text or email and let me know ahead of time!
Art Therapy
What is Art Therapy? Art Therapy is a blend of applied psychology/counseling and the expressive arts. It is a mental health profession that requires its own Masters level or higher degree, training and credentialing.

Do I have to be good at art? No! You do not have to be "good" at art or consider yourself an artist at all. The process of art therapy isn't about making something that looks a certain way at the end. We can experiment with whatever you have access to or interest in (collage, pencil drawings, clay, sticks/leaves, sewing, photography, paint, chalk, etc.).

How could Art Therapy help me? Art is a form of nonverbal expression. It has the unique ability to communicate experiences, thoughts and feelings that are difficult to capture in words but also experiences, thoughts and feelings that may not yet be accessible to our conscious mind. Art therapy can serve as a therapeutic stress reliever as it gives the creator control and shifts focus away from the body.
